Bunny Head Treat Bags

I just love Easter! I love the pastel colors, egg hunts, and children getting dressed up. I love Bunnies, Chicks and baskets full of candy. I love church service and celebrations. Most of all, I love giving fun little treats to all the kids! And of course, there needs to be a fun treat bag to put the gifts in, right?

 The head is the pouch and the ears are the handles! It's perfect for little gifts like mini bubbles, stickers, chalk, press on tattoos, finger puppets and even small candies like Cadbury Creme Eggs and Fun Size M & Ms.

 

MATERIALS
Worsted Weight Yarn
H/5.00mm Hook
Yarn Needle
Optional: Google Eyes and Mini Pom Poms

STITCH GUIDE
ch = chain
RS = right side
sc = sc
WS = wrong side

SKILL LEVEL
Beginner

FINAL MEASUREMENT
Approx. 4.5" diameter

NOTES
Gauge isn't important for this pattern. You can change your hook and yarn size to make these bigger or smaller to fit your preference.
This pattern is worked in continuous rounds with no joins or chains

INSTRUCTIONS
Make 2
1: (RS)Magic Ring, 6 sc in ring (6)
2: 2 sc in each st arnd (12)
3: *2 sc, sc* arnd (18)
4: *2 sc, sc x 2* arnd (24)
5: *2 sc, sc x 3* arnd (30)
6: *2 sc, sc x 4* arnd (36)
7: *2 sc, sc x 5* arnd (42)
8: sc x 5, *2 sc, sc x 6* 5X, 2 sc, sc
9: sl st, ch 36, sk 2, sl st x 5, ch 36, sk 2, sl st x 2. Fasten.

FINISHING
Hold two heads together with WS touching; insert hook at the edge of the bunny ear and sc arnd to the other ear, working through both layers to join them. VOILA! You have a Bunny Head Treat Bag!

You can add faces to the front with google eyes and pom pom noses or simply stitch one on. You could also add Easter Egg appliques or other fun Easter designs!
