2018 Giveaway Event Rules

 Let's start 2018 off with a kick!

If you've been a fan for a while, then this giveaway probably looks familiar, because I did this in January of 2016!

So, what is it all about?

Every day in the month of January, I will set a new pattern to FREE for 24 hours only (Midnight to 11:59 pm EST).

There will be a new blog post every day. If you click the home tab on this blog, you will be redirected to my main page where you will find the newest post.

What do you need to know?

The first time I ran this event, I was very excited and had a lot of fun, but unfortunately there were some people that took advantage of me. So, I am writing a pre-event post to set some rules. 

1). The free pattern code will change periodically, so check the code every day that you visit to make sure you have the correct one.
2). Make sure you have properly added the code and that your cart price reflects "FREE" before finalizing your purchase. There will be NO refunds.  
3). Make sure you are logged in to your Ravelry account. I will not be able to send the pattern to your library later.
4). Do not share the code, only the link to the giveaway posts (posts will be active at midnight each day). If I find that people are sharing the code, I will end the giveaway. 
5). Do not share my patterns: If you miss a day, then you miss a day. One free pattern is better than none, right? I will not be sending patterns out if you miss them, nor will I accept other people sending patterns to each other. That is theft and very much the wrong thing to do. If I find that people are sending my patterns to each other, I will end the giveaway.
6). If there is a code error and the code will not go through check to make sure you have the updated code. If you have the correct code and there is an error on my end, I WILL get it fixed no later than Noon EST. Try again after noon. DO NOT make the purchase if your cart doesn't reflect FREE. No refunds will be given.


Please understand that I give away (lose) a lot of money from this event. 2,000 downloads of a $5 pattern for 31 days... well, you can do the math if you want. To recoup some of that loss, it helps to have people visiting my blog! This is a "set-in-stone" rule. When sharing about this giveaway I will only accept people directing people back to my blog to get in on the fun. You are not obligated to share about this giveaway, but it is appreciated.

Don't be the person that ruins it for everyone.
