- Finished measurement will vary depending on yarn used
- Rug shown was made using leftover yarn from my Sweet Mesa Pillow Covers. This pattern is only written for 2 colors (intended), not the 3 colors shown.
- This rug can be made using any weight yarn: Chain a multiple of 8 plus 2, until you reach approximately 14”. Work the Color A instructions until approximately 12”, then switch to Color B instructions for the same amount of rows.
Special Stitches
Bobble = *YO, insert hook in stitch indicated, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through 2 loops on hook* 4X, YO, draw through all 5 loops on hook.
Instructions
With Color A,
1. Ch 26, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across (skipped 2 chs counts as dc), turn (25)
2. Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (25)
3. Ch 1, sc x 8, W/Color B: Bobble, *sc x 7, W/ Color B: Bobble* (repeat as needed), sc x 8 (in last 8 sts), turn (23 sc, 2 Bobble)
4. Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (25)
5. Ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next st and in each st across, turn (25)
6. Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (25)
7. Ch 1, sc x 4, w/ Color B: Bobble, *sc x 7, w/Color B: Bobble*2X (or as many times as needed), sc x 4 (in last 4 sts), turn (22 sc, 3 Bobble)
8. Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (25)
9. Ch 2 (counts as dc), dc in next st and in each st across, turn (25)
10-17. Repeat steps 2-9
With Color B,
18. Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn (25)

26-33. Repeat rows 18-25. Fasten at the end of row 33.
Finishing
- Add fringe to every other stitch across the bottom on both sides, so that Color A fringe is on the Color B side, and Color B fringe is on the Color A side.
- Optional: Add grip liner to bottom of mat (using hot glue), so it is non-slip.
- Hide all strings.
