Reindeer Ornament - Makers Christmas Blog Hop

With the countdown to Christmas underway, there's plenty on the to-do list. And while you may have more to do, than time allows, check out some of my favorite products for the holiday season. This week has been a busy one for me. I have been working on making Christmas gifts for my family and designing new patterns for all crocheters to enjoy!

And I also have this cute new Reindeer Ornament pattern for you to enjoy for free! You can hang them on your tree, attach them to your gifts, or use them as appliques on your Ugly Christmas Sweater!


MATERIALS NEEDED
Worsted Weight Yarn
     *Brown
H/5.0mm Hook
Chenille Sticks
     *Brown, Black, or Gold
Fabric Paint
     *White
     *Black
     *Red
Ornament Hook or other hanger 

PATTERN
Magic Ring, 6 sc in ring (6)
2. 2 sc in each st arnd (12)
3. *2 sc, sc* arnd (18)
4. *2 sc, sc x 2* arnd, sl st to join (24)
5. Ch 3, sl st in same sp, sl st x 5, ch 3, sl st to next st (ear created). Fasten.
FINISHING
*Cut chenille stick into 3 even length pieces (one stick makes 3 antlers). Make zig zag creases in both side of chenille stick, leaving a 3/4" flat section in the center. Glue to front top center of head (between ears).
*With Fabric Paint: Make eyes & nose. 
*Optional: Use google eyes & felt or mini buttons for facial features.
